We ghosted you...but we are back with gifts!

Hey Reader

We might have ghosted you, but we're back and we brought gifts. Not the kind wrapped in paper with a ribbon on - the useful kind - sharper ideas, a better podcast experience, practical tools from real client work, and a brand-new digital home that makes working and learning with us ridiculously easy. It's all very exciting.

CONFESSION TIME

This newsletter quietly took a break over Christmas with the good intention of picking it back up in January.

And then January became… February. You know how it goes ;-)

Last year we performed a real balancing act - client work, podcast launch, weekly recording schedule and creating resources we do hope you valued (and of course an actual life too :-))

And honestly, I reckon we did pretty well. We had a record year from a sales and client point of view and we started up 'Little Moves Big Careers'.

But when we finally gave ourselves permission to stop for a bit that momentum faltered.

The problem wasn’t stopping. The problem was restarting.

Every week it was:

  • “Next week I’ll get back into it.”
  • “Once this deadline passes.”
  • "After I feel a bit more organised.”

But here’s the important bit…

We may have gone quiet publicly but behind the scenes it’s been anything but quiet.

Here’s what’s been bubbling away:

📚 Book edits are nearly done
Which is equal parts thrilling and mildly terrifying. You’d think editing was about grammar… turns out it’s mostly emotional attachment and ruthless decisions to cut and cut some more to ensure it's worth turning each page.

🎙️ The podcast is getting a glow-up
New format tweaks. Sharper focus. A few surprises. Still messy, still honest - just tighter and braver.

🧠 We’ve been building a fresh take on a change management toolkit for a client
Developing diagnostics that help leaders and the organisation see development pathways and practical moves they can use when change hits and emotions run high.

🏭 And somewhere in the middle of all that we facilitated a supply chain conference
Think energy, big conversations and a great reminder that brilliant people just need the right space (and a decent coffee) to do smart things together. You should have seen the F1 cars they made to conclude the conference and showcase how they will appy what they've learnt.

Meanwhile…the exciting everyday continues too.

While some people put pins on a world map of their travels, we've basically been planting client markers around the M25 like a strategic treasure hunt.

And then there’s the thing we're ridiculously excited about…

🌐 A brand new website is coming.

No more Caroline’s homemade shapes doing slightly questionable animations.
We’ve grown-up.

But the real magic is behind the scenes:

  • Smart analytics that actually tell us something useful
  • Built-in podcast and course hosting
  • A client portal that makes sharing, collaborating and developing materials together an absolute dream. No more email tennis. No more “file too large” warnings. No more hoping the corporate security firewall lets the attachment through like an overzealous nightclub bouncer. Just smoother, simpler, better ways to work together.

So yes, the newsletter paused. But the mission didn’t.

And if there’s one thing this little hiatus reminded us of, it’s this:

  • Momentum isn’t built on perfection
  • Breaks don’t erase progress
  • Tiny restarts bring things back to life

So this is our restart and we are thrilled you are with us.

This year feels different. We're even more focused, more intentional and more ambitious.

A bit messy (obviously) but full of exciting work, brilliant conversations, and new ways to support the people we get to work with.

This year is going to be fabulous.
And we genuinely can’t wait to build it alongside you.

Hey Reader September has a very particular energy, doesn't it. The out of office is switched off, your inbox has pages of unread emails, and somewhere in the business someone has already said the words "final push for Q4." You can feel the temperature rising before you've even unpacked your bag. Before the pressure builds any further this is what I want you to recognise: Intensity and impact are not the same thing. In fact, the more intensity you carry into a room, the less impact you often...

Hey Reader Spring is in the air, the daffodils are blooming and the sun has finally decided to make a guest appearance.People are suddenly smiling at bus stops like they’ve remembered they’re alive again. And every year around this time, I notice the shoots of 'newness' in work too. People start to look up from the day-to-day noise and realise: Something they’ve been tolerating suddenly feels a bit tired. An idea they parked months ago starts nudging them again. A conversation they’ve been...

Hey Reader 👉 Did you receive this email from a friend? You can sign up here. Are you ready to start 2026 strong? Everyone’s talking about winding down… I want to talk about setting up. Not in a “do more, push harder” way. But rather in a reflect, close loops, clear energy way so you don’t stumble into 2026 half-powered, clutching a sad vision board and a headache. January is the worst time to set new goals - you’re tired, emotional, and your brain is basically mashed potato. But December ,...
